The stay in the lush Amazon is a travel idea and it is fully customizable.
Day 1: Departure to Puerto Leticia
- Flight Bogota-Puerto Leticia by a regular airline in economy class
- Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel
- Boat trip to the chosen hotel
- Night walk in the forest
- Dinner and night
Day 2: The transformation of Medellín
- Visit El Vergel to meet local children who recount the traditional songs and dances of the Ticuna culture
- Boat trip to the Peruvian border to observe pink dolphins and sunset on the Amazonas River
- Visit the community of Mocagua to learn all about indigenous culture through a solidarity tourism project
- Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel
Day 3: The largest river in the world
- Breakfast
- Visit to the Machuiga Foundation, a centre for orphaned monkeys and survivors of illegal trafficking
- Stroll on Mocagua Island to observe the giant lotus, the Victoria Regia
- Discussion with a Ticuna shaman about their lifestyle
- Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel
Day 4: Puerto Nariño
- Breakfast
- Take the boat for a trip of about 1.5 hours on the Amazon River.
- Monkey watching on the island of the same name
- Visit the indigenous community of Macedonia
- Boat trip on the surrounding lakes (with the possibility of seeing pink dolphins, unique in the world). Overnight in the Amazon.
Day 5: Return to civilization
- Breakfast
- Return to Leticia and transfer to the airport to catch your flight back to Bogota
